Directions:  This hike starts at Bear Lake.  Enter the park through the Beaver Meadows entrance ($20 fee).  Make a left on Bear Lake Road and take it all the way to the end.  Parking is a hot commodity in the summer so better to park at the shuttle parking lot and take the free shuttle to Bear Lake.

Nymph Lake is a great destination if you don't have a lot of time in the park but want to get away from the crowds at Bear Lake.  The hike is short (.5 mile) and easy and the lake itself is very pleasant.  The views across the lake are not quite as stunning as the views from Bear Lake or from Dream Lake but you can still see Hallet Peak popping up from behind the forest.

If you have the time and a little more energy, you should probably continue hiking another .5 mile to Dream Lake and another .8 miles further than Dream to Emerald Lake.  If not, enjoy Nymph Lake and relax in one of the prettiest parts of the National Park.
