Directions:  Riverbend Park is located along the Colorado River south of Downtown Palisade, CO.  The Park entrance is located off of Logan Court near the intersection with Rodeo Road.  Drive to the parking area near the shore of the river and start here.

The Riverbend Park & Palisade Section of the Colorado River Trail is a great place for a nice easy stroll along the river banks and through a natural riparian habitat area.  This trail segment extends for about one mile (one way) along the river through Riverbend Park and Palisade's Heritage Area.  The river views and the mesas beyond (including Grand Mesa) provide a wonderful backdrop to this trail.

Unfortunately, we got about .5 mile into the hike, when the weather turned and started throwing some hail at us forcing a premature end to this adventure.  From what we saw, this seems like a wonderful trail, and a great place to explore.
