DIRECTIONS:  The parking lot for Little Dry Creek Lake off of W. 64th Ave in between Pecos St. and Federal Blvd.

Little Dry Creek Lake is an assuming park in a mostly industrial area and is a nice place to access the Clear Creek Trail.  The walk around the lake is good for a short family outing and you can tack on some more mileage by following the Clear Creek Trail east or west.  You can also join up with the Little Dry Creek Trail which begins just north of the lake.

For this description, we started the walk by following the northern shore of the lake and crossing under the train tracks through the underpass.  This is the way to take the Clear Creek Trail east or meet up with the Little Dry Creek Trail, but the trail does not connect to the eastern shore of the lake this way.  Instead, don't go through the underpass, but walk over the viaduct and find the gravel trail on the eastern shore.

Follow the gravel trail south and cut across the southern lake shore to find the entrance to the Clear Creek Trail.  There is an art installation and a bridge leading to another trailhead.  Instead of crossing the bridge, follow the Clear Creek Trail along the creek to the east.  This stretch of trail is lined with trees (and some homeless encampments on the far shore) and runs to Federal Blvd and an underpass.
