Directions: From Boulder take Hwy 36 east, from Denver take Hwy 36 west, to McCaslin Blvd. Head north on McCaslin for a few miles and the open space will be on your right (east of McCaslin).
Harper Lake is a pleasant, easy stroll along a picturesque suburban lake park. The lake is popular with walkers and fishers and while it is only a short walk around the lake, the trail does connect to the Davidson Mesa Open Space and other trails heading east from the lake. The hike is worthwhile because of the excellent view of the Boulder Mountains and the snowy Indian Peaks beyond. Not much is needed here in the way of a trail description, so just enjoy the lake and view...nuff said... |
