Directions:  From Aspen head east on 82 towards Independence Pass.  The parking area will we on the right a few miles before you reach Independence Pass.

The Braille Trail and it's counterpart, the Discovery Trail are nature trails great for kids, not so great for adults.  The Braille Trail is very special as it is designed to give blind children an educational outdoor experience.  There are ropes to lead the way and interpretive signs written in both English and braille. The trail itself loops down through the forest to the Roaring Fork, over a bridge, and back again.  The loop itself is about .2 mi.

Adjacent to the Braille Trail is the Discovery Trail, a short nature trail with interpretive signs, that loops through the forest, over the river, and through the woods, back to the trailhead.  Again, great for young kids.
