Hike Description: Mt. McConnel is a relatively easy 7,960 ft peak located in the Cache La Poudre Wilderness Area. The trail climbs through evergreen forest with fantastic views to the west. The summit is accessed via a spur trail off the main loop and the views from the summit are 360 degrees. Looking down on Poudre Canyon is a rare treat and McConnel offers one of the easier ways to do so. Lunch/Diner at the Mishawaka is a must for post hike celebrations.
