Hike Description:

The Sand Sheet Nature Trail is probably the easiest hike in Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve, if you can really call it a “hike.”  The short (less than half mile) loop takes you to a series of interpretive signs, some of which (at the time of writing) were completely bleached out by the sun.  The signs tell the story of how natural and geologic processes create these magnificent sand dunes.

The trail is pretty much flat and even so this is a great way for those who are not able to hike the harder trails in the park to get an incredible view of the dunes and experience this amazing place.
