The trailhead is located one mile east of the Visitor's Center, on Rim Rock Road.

Hike Description:

If you only have an hour so to visit the park, this short but sweet trail is absolutely the hike you should do. Otto’s Trail (named for the park’s first caretaker) has sone of the best views on the Canyon Rim.  The trail is easy as it follows a narrow ridge jutting out into the canyon, the views up and down the canyon are just amazing. There are cliffs on both ends to stay away from the edges and keep an eye on the kids.  It’s less than half a mile each way so this will not take up all of your time, however, it may just be the nicest hike you do during your visit.
