Hike Description:
The Lefthand Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) Area is a system of dirt roads and single track trails northwest of Boulder up Lefthand Canyon. In 2013, due to the catastrophic flooding in Boulder County, this area was closed to motor vehicle use. It remains open to hiking and mountain biking. The trails are heavily used and well established, however, there are a lack of signs and trail maps so if you are new to this area you are largely in exploration mode. There are a number of access points to the trail system along Lefthand Canyon Road. The “official” trailhead, then at least two more access points further west up the canyon.
