Hike Description:

DeLaney Farms Open Space in Aurora, CO, is an interesting mix of natural area and historic landmark. The farm is the home to the DeLaney Round Barn, which dates back to the early 1900s and other historic farming structures are preserved and on display.

In addition to the slice of early Colorado history, the park has a small system of trails including the High Line Canal Trail. For a nice and easy loop, you can start by following the paved High Line Canal Trail and after crossing West Toll Gate Creek, you can jump onto the natural surface hiking trails in the open space.  The trail follows the twists and turns of the creek back to the Round Barn and the trailhead.  There are additional trails that you can link to and explore for a slightly longer hike.
